I had a 163" track on my Dragon, but have a 155" on the 2011 I went with the shorter track because the 163 was pretty one dimensional. If your only riding the steep and deep the longer track is more forgiving, but if you want to do any ditch banging it's not as fun IMO.

Hey guys,
I'm looking to snow check a new rmk pro this year. I'm having trouble making up my mind between the 163 and 155 track. I have heard mixed reviews that the step up from the 155 to 63 isn't all that worth it on the pros. I am in the mountains quite often I don't do alot of high marking. We do mostly tree riding.

Thanks ahead of time for the help!

How big are you?

I found a big difference between the 155 and 163 in the IQ chassis ( I had one of each ) being that the 155 was the first choice on the not powder riding days, which was the norm as I could never seem to get away when a major dump takes place!! However the the 163 Pro handles better or at least as good as the 155 IQ. In mountain/tree riding, the 163 Pro will school the 155 Pro every where but across a lake. ( I have one of each, however, the 155 is getting a longer track :) ) But as chickenman said, how big are you? A couple of my riding buds tip the scale at 145lbs max before gear!! They do very well on 155's

I own a Pro with a 162 x 3" and like it for the tree riding and slow floatability. My buddy owns a 155 with a CE that I upgraded for him. I had the opportunity to ride it for a couple of days while mine was down. Absoulutely had a blast riding it in some decent snow. Would I trade down? Probly not, but if I only rode in more set up snow then it would definately be a consideration. We did some side by side comparasins with the same rider (me) against the exact same machine with the 163 stock track and it was very close in climbing and manouverability. I think if you are more into the open riding areas, and ride more settled snow than anything, the 155 will be more than enough. If you are into the slower, technical deep snow riding then the 163 is the bomb. His 155 would high mark me unless the snow was really deep.

My 163 is my ditch banger, my seadoo, my trail sled, and my mountain sled. This sled handles awesome to handle any condition. Smoother on the trails and the back end is lighter.
Oh ya! Instant traction.

First of all I have rode a 155 and 163 iq chassis and all I have to say is that the 163 when riding in the trees you don't have to be going balls to the wall because your floating better then the 155. I got the 163 pro 2012 and its even easier too ride then the iqs.(I know everybody knows this) I would go 163 you will want it later on. Also if your wondering about boondocking I have jumped my 163 higher and farther then even thinking about trying on my old 155 iq, it doesn't even feel like theres 163 inches of track underneath you. They are soooo balanced its not even funny. Just put your big boy underwear on that day and ride!!!
