hey i changed the belt on my 08 800xp. first time since i put on new team secondary. my issue is it came off nice with the tool they give u but they dont tell u how to adjust and tighten it properly. so i make shift got er workin. but when i start my sled the secondary and stay engaged and spins my track yadda yadda. what did i do wrong how do i adjust it properly if thats even the problem. any ideas would be appreciated thanks

how did you adjust the secondary? the belt should be about 3/32 above the shive.(pulley).Also if the track is off the ground it might spin ,it depends on track tension,chain tension ect.You might also notice that if the belt tension\deflection is to tight the belt will squeal and the sled might have a hard time going into reverse.Hope this helps,:):beer::beer:

theres a allen key stud with a nut on it,ajust in for less belt deflection and out for more hope that helps.

to take the belt off they give u and bolt u thread into the secondary which loosens the belt off, but im unsure of how to tighten the belt to proper tension i can get it close by just turning the secondary counterclockwise. im not the best at explaining it as ive never done it before. thanks for the info im gona go try a few things

ok now less and more belt delfection to tighten it up a bit would i want less or more?

not sure what you are asking but you want the least amount of deflection (tight) you can get without making the belt squeal and so that it goes into reverse smoothly

if the belts to tight [wants to creap forward ]go in with the stud loosen lock nut and ajust in.
