Did 2006 700 RMK EFI have any engine problems, like the other sleds of that year(like the 900)? Anything I should lookout for?

Thanks

Sorry for making all these posts, im just trying to find a good deal before snowfall .

I would take a 900 over an 08-09 800. 700 are the same as the 900 sled wise but the bottom end of the engine is the same as the 900. with all these 800 that have blown up in the last few years ride the 700......it will be just fine!

I heard the 2005/2006 900s have had loads of problems, will the 700 EFI have the same problems?

had a 05 900 with over 4000 miles with Zero problems.....NEVER LET ME DOWN! the 700 doesnt have the vibration the 900 had but also had less power! every sled has it problems!

The 06 700 is a little different animal than the rest of the Polaris 700 motors. It is based off the 900 and is identical except for the top end. That's not a bad thing, the 06 700s have shown to generally have less problems because of the lesser power and vibration. Also, it is worth mentioning that it is actually a 755cc long stroke motor, not quite the same snap as the other short block 700s, but that design also gives you an impressive amount of torque for a motor of that displacement.

In the last couple years, guys have 'figured out' the quirks inherent to making a 900 reliable, and the 700s subsequently. After owning an 05 900 and reading more than you can imagine, I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on the 700. I would recommend you do as much research as you can on them so that you can be personally informed on all the things that you will want to check and service to ensure a trouble-free season with the sled.

I share the opinion that I would rather have my 900 than a newer 800... I love it.:d

So there is vibration just no as much as the 900's?

I will have to research the quirks to keep this sled from future problems?

This is pretty standard with all sleds?

^^^^ you just found your guru^^^^^^^

Yea, you guys gave me some great advice at last years Red Deer Suds night. About getting a bar riser for better centre of balance, upping to a 144" track, and fabcrating a more comfortable seat. Which I was going to do this season, but my brother is looking to upgrade and figured I would sell it to him.
