The week end of april 14-15, I was sledding in revy. On the sunday I had heard that there was a death at frisby, I believe the individual struck a tree. I am sad to hear this....my thoughts go out to the friends and family.:( Remember have fun out there but play with caution.

I heard that same thing when I was up at Glacier House last weekend, apparently the person was a 34 year old from Stony Plain, I have been watching my local paper but have not heard anything to date.

From the Revelstoke Times Review:

Local RCMP officers and the BC Coroner’s Service are investigating the death of a 34-year-old man from Spruce Grove, Alta.

The man died April 15 when he and other sledders were up on Frisby Ridge.

According to Cpl. Rod Weibe, the man — whose identity was withheld pending notification of his next-of-kin, lost control of sled and collided with a tree.

“Attempts to revive him at the scene were negative and by the time a helicopter got the deceased to medical attention he had succumbed to his injuries.
