Are you sure you are using plugs in the proper heat range? Also have a good look at the choke assembly, make sure it's adjusted properly.

No choke on this sled, just a primer.

Carbs are too rich or float is sticking open. Only real way for these to truly flood is if the carb float is stuck open or incorrectly adjusted. Usually the static float height is about 20mm. This was a big problem on the 583's, floats were set too high from the factory. As soon as you stopped anywhere facing downhill, they flooded. Trick was to park facing uphill or adjust the floats...:D

Some dirty stuff in the tank can get into the fuel system and cause leaking seats at the float valve also, do you have a fuel filter on it after the tank (but before the fuel pump)?

I would look at what jets are in there too. could be too rich.

Plug range should be BR9ES - so a "9".

Highstage, Modman is correct about the facing of the sled down hill or even for periods of time on flat land. As you can see from my signature I have a Skidoo Mach 1, this machine has the 583 in it. When I park it for any period of time I turn off the fuel. If I am using the machine all day I don't worry about turning off the fuel except at lunch. The other thing that cuases fouling of the plugs is the jets. Make sure you have the right jets for the temprature or she won't run too good in about half hour to an hour as she will be fouled up. One thing I did to stop fouling as much was I put in a set of platinum plugs. Makes big difference. My machine is modded so I have to change jets every 5 or so degrees temprature change. If yours is still stock you should be able to get away with about 10 degrees change. Check your manual. Also make sure that your oil pump is set properly. Don't go too lean on your pump or jets as you will seize the PTO cylinder first(talking from experience). This is a tough engine, should give you no problems if you have everything dialed in right. If you have quetions please PM me.
