I am shopping for a hoist for the bikes and quads. What is everyone using, how much and shipping costs?? No really interested in the princess auto ones. Don't feel like dropping an expensive machine because I didn't spend the extra cash. This is the style I am looking for. motorcycle-lifts-tcmlw-gallery-350px.jpg

Chit Keith...... you could probably make one of those yourself, and your biggest expense would be a 1000lbs ram.

I was going to build one but don't think it is worth the effort now. I found a place that has a good one loaded with extensions clamp and a jack for 1000. Problem is the shipping from Vancouver. So just waiting on the quote for it.

I'll bet you are talking to Premium Lifts, or Jericho Equipment. I sure like it, and glad I didn't cheap out on the princess auto one! Shipping ran me $150 to Calgary.

I didn't see this picture that well on my phone earlier today. I love the super-glide idea. I will be doing the same. So I ordered the lift today. Should be just under $1200 delivered to my work. The shitty thing is the last one sold a couple days ago and I have to wait until the next shipment comes in. About 2-3 weeks before I see it.

I looked at them too. They were in around the same price. I think with the exact same options they might be a little more but not much.

Well I am back to looking for another lift. Those guys said it would be one to two weeks for them to arrive then get shipped to me. It has been 2 1/2 weeks so I emailed them. Now they say mid may. So cancelled the order and am looking again. Told him to email me when they come in. If I haven't bought one elsewhere then I will still buy from them.

Finally got my lift home today. Quality is ok but not the best. There is one critical hole that is drilled about 1/4" off. It is for the side extension rods. I can only get two of the three rods through. Then at the front there is one hole that has only been drilled half way with a hole saw. The inside chunk is still there complete with paint. So much for QC. They also advertise it lifts to 33" and I measured 31". Not a huge deal but every inch counts!! But either way I am just happy to have one. I will finish getting it set up properly and it will be nice to use.

Its hard one at the quality of a Handy lift but you do save quite a few bucks. I used mine for years and never had any issues at all.

So today was the first time using the lift to do actual work. Swapped out both sprockets on the street bike. Was so much easier and quicker with the lift. And my back wasn't sore.
