Just got back from the hills and my fxr and arctiva insulated stuff sucks. It gets soaked and takes hours in the dryer to dry and everyone with Klim was dry as a bone but its a little pricey seeing a jacket is as much as the Motorfist jacket and pants together.

we were talking about the motorfist stuff and i was wondering how well it works??

i was curious about it too, but could find almost nothing for info on it, no-one would say if it was warm or not, and nothing for reviews.

Hate to say it, but don't waste money on other stuff. Just by klim the first time. You will spend more money on this and that than you will if you just by klim the first time. The pants/bibs in klim are essential if nothing else.

as far as i can tell its built really well. but its not gore tek like klim which adds to the cost of klim. But is it as good and as water proof as they claim?

I've been wearing klim for the last 6 or 7 years, still wear their bibs and boots... and gloves(Klim coat is still ok, but it's yellow, impossible to keep clean). Bought a Motorfist coat this year, worn it only twice, it kept me dry, not quite as heavy as my valdez jacket but seems to get rid of the sweat. Too early for a definitive answer but so far so good....I like the offset zipper and the fact that it isn't made in China.

I bought new yamaha gear this winter .... got tired of the klim gear busted a few zippers and velcro wore fast.......... the yama gear has a poor quality zipper..( thin tooth zipper) it does keep ya warm and dry....... just buy one size up...seems to be made forthe japaneese...... then again it is yamaha.....I would have liked something with a large tooth zipper .. those seem to be the way to go...othe than that it seem to be fine .... bit better then the layers of klim gear

we bumped into Lyle from twisted turbo at the mania ride and I asked how he liked his motorfist gear and he is very happy, he said its very duarble and stays dry.

only thing I dont like is the bib style pants, maybe next year they will have more options, stuff looks great in person and is designed for sleding

I have tho motorfist gear and am very pleased with it, windproof, waterproof, works well with a layering system, I use drywear from mark's work wearhouse. Had another thread posted under jackets and pants, gave more info on cold weather riding. Had a great day last sunday in milage, both me and buddy (he wears klim) compared both products, and both performed equally. Oh yea, and 1/2 the price!

A buddy of mine has the motorfist jacket and is happy with it so far (3 rides). Seems like quality construction.

I bought some klim gear this winter in mcbride realy good price compared to what they charge here in saskabush. Love the jacket and boots and gloves hope to get pants next time I am up there. Have to say by far the best stuff I have ever owned. Very warm and dry. My feet get cold very easy and the new klim boots that i picked up at Spindrifters keep them very warm and dry love the stuff. It is pricey but you get what you pay for.

another set of gear to check out (no disrespect to MOTOFIST) is HMK Gambler
i used to rock snowboard gear all the way, as its 1/2 the price
the Gambler line fits very similar to any Burton or 686 brand out there
AND is 15k H20/breathability and windproof as well

Proline is the only place in town to try it on though.....

i bought mine online for 1/2 the price...Proline wanted $500 for just the jacket
i got the pants and jacket for $460CDN shipped to my door

I wear all HMK outer layer and KLIM underneath it all w KLIM gloves

something else to consider???

I wear Klim gear and like it except for my gloves. I find the PowerCross just don't keep my hands warm. Now,I don't run a windshield cuz it's just going to break when I roll it. I also can't run hand guards on the Cat with the heated grips being too long. I went on a ditch ride last weekend with my 10 year old HJC stuff on and drowned in sweat. Klim all the way.

yah i was highly considering hmk as well being that they come in snow camo like my current stuff......

my biggest problem with my fxr stuff is that its insulated and took forever to dry, if i was wearing shell jacket and pants with fleece pants and jacket under it would dry fast when separated. i have a great base layer already that drys fast too its called misty mountain and its from wholesale sports and was $20
