not sure what to do.. 1500km and this happens.. Im definitely done with polaris as this is way too common.. any advice on cheapest way to get out of this with out passing my problem onto someone else?

Is that the original piston or did it have a fix kit? That looks like hot on the exhaust side from going lean not the typical 800 skirt failure. Is the sled all stock?

****ty, I had a bud with 15 Pro also. Completely stock not even a can on it. Did a bit more damage than yours though. Broke the skirt off and went through the cases. Had just come off warranty. Paid for a long block and sold it. Maybe you can get away with new cylinders and pistons. Prob lots of material ended up in the lower end bearings. Not good for longevity.

Looks like a good old fashioned seizure. The piston got too big for the hole. Stock engine? Was it fully warmed when this happened? How is the other side? Any hints of a problem before this happened?

Part out the sled is financially the best move.

If this is a 163 with decent shocks I know a guy who would probably take it as is.
