Mother's Day weekend.

Reporting back; it was +18 and blue-bird. Staged at the Elkford access and for this time of year the trail was in the best shape ever. No rocks in the canyon! There was a little dirt/rocks but it wasn't even carbide wreckers this year.

Smith Basin, mainly for the annual Mother's Day tradition and one last ski run for the oldest son. Four pictures; our step-grandson, a total newbie (first time on a sled) on the 2001 Summit Limited Edition MXZ, is hooked, The Mother (my better half) with a small jump on the hero snow, and our son doing a 1000' vertical hike for 20 seconds of rush on the skis, and a shot from camera takers perspective.

Jan: Haven't heard and I haven't ridden there for 2 weeks. I will try and find some up-to-date information for you. I doo know that the trail up to the Claims/Elkford would not be suitable for the younger ones as the last slide is a tough one to cross.

My bad, sorry. I've got too many things on the go right now and my mind is jumping everywhere. I still wanna ride and can't seem to squeeze it in. I will inquire today about Coal Creek/Morrissey.
