about 12 km south of Fernie on highway #3. Turn left, cross the bridge, turn right and turn left to the staging area.

Yes, it was! There is a creek that flows through that area and there are quite a few guys/gals/sleds that are familiar with those muddy waters. If the SnowCat wouldn't have been there, the boys would have had a lot of shovelling experience by the time they were finished....
