May be a stupid question I'm running a nytro with a 270 mcx turbo set at 12 lbs boost with pump gas if I mix in some race fuel will I notice anything or should I just keep running pump gas. I no there are some other threads but could find anything to clear about it. Thx

You will notice that it costs you more per fill up. Nothing wrong with adding Race to enhance your premium. Just a little insurance against detonation.

The answer to that is NO. The reason of using race fuel is to keep the top end of the engine from being damage from excessive heat cause by fast burning fuel (pump gas). The higher the octane rating the slower and cooler the fuel will burn and the higher the energy. Race fuel burns at a much slower rate and much cooler. 12lbs boost and 91 pump is completely safe, running boost higher then 14lbs a mix is recommended. How much you mix is all depending on O2 readings.
Lots of guys will mix no matter what, it makes them feel fuzzy inside. But its an expensive way to ride with no real benefits.

I can run 91 in my turbo at 15Lbs boost without issue. Last season started using Husky 94 for that little extra margin of safety.

They do, but the company that developed the tune says that's a good thing, and that there isn't a component in the sled that will be harmed by the ethanol. Just repeating what the "experts" have said.

OK here's the issue now. About 94oct. its an Oxygenated fuel. Not good. This fuel was develop for use in high performance cars like the Corvette's and many other's. The reason was big motor(as in CI) power needing to pass emission's, the fuel has chemical compound's containing oxygen as part of its structure that helps reduce carbon monoxide. Problem in our application, the oxygen. It can cause the top end to go lean and cause serious damage.
My advice is always use 91oct. and if you need to go higher on octane get C111 or C12 and mix. These fuel are non oxygenated and leaded, giving you the best engine protection.
