Mini Ramps for Loading a 3rd Sled Easily - YouTube

Two on the trailer, one in the box.... always a giant pain to load the 3rd sled right? Especially when your trailer is short and getting the ramp in and out requires two people.

For about $24 and a half hour to make, these mini ramps work great.

The leftover roofing plastic makes the skis slide nicely, staples and duct tape to hold it in place. I used threaded rod as pins to keep the ramps place (drill holes in the trailer deck as required). The ramp ends are $15 from Princess Auto and work well with 2"x8" boards.

I built my own trailer out of an old steel sled deck, as I had a half ton long box at the time and the deck was for a short box. When I did, I made it a V-nose open, drive on/off trailer. The ramp sits in the normal place under the deck. Here's the best part, though, I made sure that the tongue was long enough to jack knife the trailer 90 degrees and the trailer clears the truck. Now, you can pull a sled off the truck without the ramp or get in some tight turns. Loading still requires moving the ramp from the back of the trailer to the tailgate from the ground or the trailer deck, though.
