I broke the springs in my middle shock in the rear suspension of my 05 . Anybody played with these. Does Ski-Doo make different spring strengths? I am a heavier guy any suggestions besides pushing away from the table..?

You should be able to buy a stiffer spring for it, I know you can get them for the front shocks, no reason why you can't for the rears.

I would think just loosening the track would give you enough play to get the shock off or maybe dropping the rear end might work too.

Thanks AkNomad I ended up pulling the skid and am putting new sliders and putting 2 more wheels on the inside of the skid about 2/3 of the way back...the sliders were wearing funny. I am also putting 2 new, heavier, torsion springs to make the rear so it isn't so loosey-goosey. I am heading out again this weekend so I can let you know how it goes.
How's the riding going in the north part of the world?

We just got a bunch of snow latter part of last week and we rode both Friday and Saturday, it was freakin epic to say the least. We should have rideable snow until mid May or so.

I'd be interested to know where you got the stiffer torsion springs, I need to swap mine out with something a bit stronger. Have fun!

AKNomad...I ordered rectangle ones through my local dealer...I will send you the part number tomorrow. They said it would take a lot of the impact away from the front rear shock and move it to the back better. The stock ones are square and I had them turned up all the way. The back end still only dropped 3 inches when I set it up but by the time I carried a back pack, gas and packed full of snow it was alot of extra weight when hitting sharp mogals and bumps. I bottomed out a few times jumping also.
More tinkering and set up...should have bought an old pickup.

Kbrunless...I am heading to Crowsnest Pass. After today there is only snow left in the road allowances and in the coulees
