Yep,

Cariboo, south of Mica
If you are real adventurous you can go past Mica to Blackstone, Gold River but is a real work out at times

If you can get across the resevoir you can follow the powerline back over to Bourne (spelling??) Galcier and a few other jems the Heli guys hate us in

Cheers good luck,

Been eying that one up too. We're looking into heliing our sleds across the lake next year for a week of exploring. Should be deep snow country. Mica creek heli guides gets lots of snow. There should be some decent riding on fred laing ridge as there used to be a sled cabin up there. You can drive almost to the top in the summer. Can be accessed between the dam and the townsite. There's a logging road on the east side of the road that will take you high up.

When I was running grader up the French Rd the guy that was teaching me worked up there from age of 16(55now)told me there's access to the west side above Dam starting around Downey arm at the power line from Avoca.W which turns in to Perry River rd will come to other roads that lead to alpine..save's on heli:d and said -the cariboo closures would be endless

We're thinking heli across Kinebasket to Wood Arm. Then push up to Clemenceau Icefield. I don't know if anyones ever been in that area on a sled? I know you can get in from the south. Don't know if it's even possible from the north. Spending lots of time on google earth and will do some recon work this summer on foot.

if you are planning to explore that north country there are some management areas that the seymour arm club have and the sicamous club have so you should contact either club for info. lots of caribou issues up there. the bourne has an access wich must be followed until april 15. All areas north of there are permantly closed except for a small area we have to ride by permit only. www.sledseymourarm.ca

just refering to the coment on the perry river road and bourne glacier, and following the power lines over the pettipiece pass. those areas have cariboo agreements. not refering to north of Mica. Sorry for the confusion.

If there is a way up the wood river falls then you're up for a roop of the year. Was upthere last spring to explore for a run of river project on a heli and what I saw upthere is amazing. There's supposedly a cabin in the area on the Thompson trail. Access to Clemenceau glacier looked like it would be easy. And the dried lake on top of the Wood falls is a nice play area that access many chutes. Keep in mind though, this is pristine area for the mountain cariboos, you can get in trouble if you get cut
