March 2011 Conditions

We made it, this is my first trip to Mcbride. Only 3rd time to the hills, there is 4 in our group, 2 yamis, 1 Xp, 1 Zx. I was told we will ride the ant hills tomorrow. Maybe seen some of you guys out tomorrow. I'm so stoked to get out again.

I just realized I forgot to turn off and unhook the propane from the BBQ at the renshaw cabin.... used to just leaving mine turned on... if someone is up can you please check on this for me....

Had an awesome time, McBride is a very cool town the GBCA will be back.

Lots of presence from the RCMP but no hassles, the shuttle van/cab is awesome and the folks at the North Country were very friendly

Also a quick reminder to the sledders to turn the cabin heater thermostat down or off if you think you may be the last ones up. Hotrod and i arrived at the cabin with the groomer at around midnite and the setting was full on and it was close to 80-90 degrees in there! Higgins.

I went into the cabins to sign the guest books and check it out.... heat was off on bell friday and Renshaw saturday.... no need for heat this past weekend...

Wife and I were the last ones up on bell friday... was kinda cool to have the whole mountain to ourselves for a little while, very humbling...

The wife will be keeping a close eye on mountain real estate

Rode Belle Thursday.Was tracked right out. Renshaw on Friday and all I can say is WOW. Not a soul all day.Seen Hotrod and his crew for about ten minutes but that was it. Not a track in the anthills and about a foot and a half of powder.The day went great till the end when I decided to try to re adjust my bars with my chest. A short stay in the hospital and 4 cracked ribs later and my sledding year is over.I did have a Tekvest,but I lent it to a buddy and didn't have it on. The boys went back into Weinbuergers on Sat and said they had a great time.
Big Thank you to Heyjude and bbtoys for taking care of my sorry azz. You really are special people and you mean alot to me.

Parking lot was a mess on top.No parking down below,but you could back up to the hill and back out of the trailer.Other than that,a little icy to the trail pass booth,the a hiway to the top.
