Drop the mount position of the front skid by 7/8" and tighten the shock, and you will have to tighten the limiter strap a bit or it will transfer too much. Add heavy springs to the rear also helps reduce the transfer. You would expect it to ride hard but it doesn't. This removes a bunch of weight from the skis too. Now swap ski's right/left and remove sway bar. If you have after market skis with metal saddles, get offset plates made to move the skis in to 36.5" center to center. Now put a set of Spindle spacers on to reduce the steering effort by 20%. Cheap and you will have a new sled that rides near to a 2011.
There are posts on here, dootalk and snowest from last season about doing all this stuff.

why would a ski swap make that much off a difference?

It narrows your stance a little bit more. If you look at your skis they are offset a bit, if you swap side to side and put the bushing opposite as well, it will skinny up your stance.

It's all about the keel on the outer edge resists rolling the sled up and when it is moved across to the otehr side it will be on the inside. Not so nice on the trail but big difference when side hilling or rolling up.

Teth air gets it!....LOL

The Summit XP suspension is crap. especially the 08.
As he said, you need to stiffen the front skid shock. All the way.
What happens on the summits, is the front suspension will collapse if too soft and take the whole suspension with it....front to rear.
You can check it by putting a floor jack under the sled from the front at the front track shock and jack it up. Now, push on the rear suspension (bumper) and watch as the track dissapears in the tunnel.
Think of the snow hitting the track at the approach angle of the track and a person sitting on the sled. You will bottom out and the sled goes nowhere......
At least with the front track shock in the skid tightened up, it will be harder to push the front of the skid up and keep the sled on top of the snow.....
Heavier springs in the rear help too.....You can let the limiter strap out one hole if you don't want to drop the skid in the tunnel by re-mounting it lower.
Its the best you can doo with this skid.....

Remove front limiter strap and install a Trac-Link it gives you 3" of adjustability to find the sweet spot, just like the good old days.I have one on mine and it works great.
