M1000 powder bog

i have a 08 M1000 sno pro with only 500 miles on it. it has a really bad bog in powder. its not all the time, just every now and again. usually happens when the machine is farely warm, but always in fresh snow......as in, not a hard pack trail. I have to feather the thorotle or let off all together to get my power back.
feels and sounds like machine is only running on a half cylinder and can only get about 5000 rpm's out of it. then after a few seconds, its back to normal again.
has anyone had this problem or have any ideas?

Hey Bud I have the same issue sometimes if i'm in big powder the snow gets packed around your exhaust pipe. Doesnt let it breath so i have to kick the snow away before i start. Thats only from stop though once im moving shes wide open.
