M1000 parts swap to my M8's?

I picked up an 09 M1000 153 track with a bent bulkhead and blown motor for parts, I want to swap the skid into my 07 as well as the front A arms and suspension, coolant overflow tank, belly pan plastics, possibly clutches, outer boards and rear tunnel. I also want to take the gold finger and bdx light dd and swap it into my 11m8 what will and what won't work? Thanks for any help

Same chassis so pretty much all of that. Clutch calibration will be different though.

X2, I think they are pretty well the same with the exception of the 09 being the first year of electronic reverse so DD is different. Otherwise I think the parts are pretty much exact. Every aftermarket part I bought so far seems to fit all the M sleds from 05 up so I wouldn't think why not.

I put 2010 m1000 rear skid into a 06 m7 with no problems! So you will be good to go!

The primary clutch will not work as the shaft size and taper is different From the 800 to the 1000.

So Honda says the m1 dd and clutch will work on my 11 does this sound right? And my 11 clutch will work on my 07?

Your 11 M8 has electronic reverse, the Diamond Drive Lite will fit - you will need the trackshaft as well. The taper on the primary is 35mm on the M1000, 33mm on the M8, so primary clutch will not fit. All other parts you mentioned in the first post should work. Bear in mind the DD gearing was different between the M8 and M1000, so you may want to check ratios prior to installing.

perfect thanks a ton, I have the updated track shaft on my m1 so ill swap it with the rest, should be a nice upgrade, the gear set I went with in the m1 was similar to the m8 I think but ill separate it and check

Man don't listen to what they tell you at Honda. They used to be decent but I can't even stand getting parts there anymore. I'm always getting blank stares from most of them.

All bent up and the rear skid I'm swapping to my 07 to update the old girl, gonna be an 09 with mechanical reverse pretty well and a real purdy girls wrap for the gf lol

These rails look great just pending a sale on the whole skid, sliders have 25km on them ill keep u posted

These are better stronger rails, same reason I'm swapping to the 09 skid plus the better ride but the pre 09 bolts right up to the 9-11 rails as far as I know, and they look cooler he is also in stony plain so maybe he'd be nice enough to drop them off to be anodized as powder coating takes strength outta them but anodizing doesn't, I like custom colored things like a crow to shiny things haha
