I've got a 04 Summit 800 151. The snow here in sask has been getting hard/ice on top and I've been having trouble with controlling my steering. It seems too loose and the sled wanders where ever the hard snow takes it. I tightened the front shocks on the skis as far as it would allow and I loosened the rear spring almost to the second last allowable setting. Doesn't seem to stiffen the steering enough to stop the wandering. Any ideas would be appreciated.

How are the wear bars or carbides. I know mine is kinda like that but i think its cause mine are dual carbides and when one wears out it causes it to wonder a bit. What part of sask you from?

What setting is your limmiter strap on? I think that on your model if it is all the way in it puts alot of pressure on the fron skis.

With a summit you shouldn't have to worry about hard pack. hahaha.

Check your ski alignment for the proper toe out.

your hiem joints and bushings could be getting worn causing excessive free play in your steering. Might be time for a little TLC
