alright so i'm thinking this summer... pray it doesn't come for awhile. i'm thinking of putting a 159 skid/track to replace the 151, just not enough track for me. now the questions, what skid/rails etc would peeps recommend? m10 has nice set ups, but do they have a rev set up? or would i be farther ahead money wise to find a xp set up? if that'd even work. i don't want to put a different tunnel under it if i don't have to. clutchin would be changed to maybe a d&d kit or something similar, i wouldn't mind changing my gearing to, i find my sled has good bottom end power but doesn't have the snappyness i'd like, what gears would be best?

any help would be appreciated, prefferably no smart a$$ comments.... :d

i would just try and find a used REV skid that had a 159 track. if you dont extend your tunnel so ur mud flap clears the back of your track you may have over heating issues... but im not sure. A buddy of myn is has a REV with a 151 by 2" on it and he wants more track so what he is doing is putting a 154 by 2 1/2" xp track on and just changing the drivers. just thought i would through it out there. the extra half inch makes a huge difference!

it'd probably be easier to find a xp set up than a rev with a 159, any idea what i would have to chang ethe drivers to? just stock xp's or what?

ya tukernater good point just use your stock 151 skid and move it back to take up the slack from putting the 159 on. by far the cheapest route!

I'm just finishing up doing a similar mod to my sled right now.
I'm going from a 16"x144"x2" which had 2.52" 10 tooth drivers to a 15"x162"x2.4" and 3" pitch 8 tooth Avid drivers. I put a 159" tunnel extension on, and found a 151" skid from an '07 and am using a rail extension and 8" wheels to take up the slack. I looked for 6 months and could not find a 159" skid anywhere. I doubt you will either. I don't think your going to get enough with just sliding the skid back. I believe your going to want an extension but you won't know till you try it.

i don't think i'll get extensions, had a 04 mxz with 121, used extensions to go to a 136, first ride out, the extensions buckled. ice age has rails, it think if i just swap out the rails for the ones i want it shouldn't be to much adjusting to make it work?
