A few of us are headed out to Long Island Lake tomorrow and I was wondering if the mud holes are pretty much frozen yet. Anyone been out there recently?

Almost. Some of the nasty skeg on the North side of highway is still unpassible. Had to be a bit careful at some of the deeper mud holes 'cause some of the ice was thin enough to break but thick enough to make it hard to get out. The hills heading towards the North loop haven't iced up yet either, so it was pretty easy to get up them - too bad, I was hoping to scare a couple of people on them. :d

I have recently relocated our trailer near long island lake and was wondering were in relation to the lake are you riding (directions)

Sorry dude, I didn't notice your message. From Dapp corner, take 801 North, and turn East on TWP 663A. On the east side of the lake you will see a fork in the road and a sign that says "Teen Time". Take the left fork and you will see a staging area on your left shortly after. If you keep going until you hit a stop sign and turn left, there's another, more busy staging area with an outhouse and some fire pits. Keep in mind though that the snowmobile clubs groom these trails, so if the trails are groomed and still soft, they get a little cheezed when we rip them up with our quads.
