Little snow + ditch bangin =

Steveo told me not to post this .....PFTTTT when did I ever listen??

They were out around Boyle area couple weekends ago ditch bangin and he found himself his 1st rock

Trailing arm, shock, upper and lower arms, carbide, clutch cover and possibly a tie rod end

Thats why trailing arms are designed to bend,could have been way worse.

Narely dude. Been there. Mine only had one bend in it though.

Tell him to straiten that trailing arm up, weld a chunk of 1" angle iron onto it where it's week, and save it for a spare.

Could be in the hills one day and it could save a weekend for someone.

I had a trailing arm looked alot like that, one ski thought it'd be fun to go through a culvert instead of beside it like his brother. Wasn't really as much fun as you'd think.

How could have it been worse? The complete left front suspension is destroyed? If the trailing arm was stiffer and less likely to buckle maybe there would be less damage? Trailing arms and the design concept behind them are obsolite not just because they colapse easier than double a arms, but the design can not deliver handling (physics...) like a good A arm design. All sled manufacturers, not just one any more, have A arm designs these days for a reason.

Anyway... Steveo, hope you get the parts quik and get that sled back together and get out riding soon Rocks and stumps suck

well if the trailing arm didnt bend it could of wrecked the bulk head and lots of others..ive seen some bad damage like that from a person going 70mph down the CN right away and hitting a track switch,,he learned his leson

Well...Yeah.....3 or so.....but not all at once.

All fixed up and ready to go......... got away pretty cheap.Only needed a trailing arm and the shock.

Right on Steveo. That was quick. It didn't bend you tie-rods or steering post?

tie rod and streering post all good, bent the upper arm assembly but i was able to straighten it out with a bit a heat...... can't even tell anything happened

yeah,,, we got it on the high way the rode beside it cause in the trail it just wouldve dug in...but good thing no trailing arm is bent or tie rods...but couldnt find other peice of ski

yea i did get lunched off my sled..over the handel bars and to a front flip.. my thumb is prettie sore...lol..if i had a camera when it was stuck id show u the hole

Glad to hear your fine (for the most part). A camera would have been awesome, but that's the way life is.
