Went to check my travel trailer and lo and behold caught a little bastard (mouse) in one of the several unbaited traps I left out. Little bugger came up thru the floor vents but lucked out he didn't do any damage that I noticed, next year plugging up the furnace vents. AAGGGAA!:(

A good way to check for mice is in front of the door just lay 1 kleenex on the floor if you have a mouse/mice it will go for it 1st to make a nest, then all you have to do is open the door to see if the kleenex is gone you have mice. And you usually never have 1 mouse they are community rodents.

Get some 1" plastic pipe and cut it about 1 to 2 feet long, put mouse poison in the tube and place around the trailer, beside jacks and tires, the mouse will run through the pipes when looking for a way into the trailer, eat the poison and that's the end of them. Irish spring soap works as well and smells better than moth balls. I put it in plastic containers with no lid and place throughout the trailer.

My boss uses these sticky traps says they work great he always has mice stuck to them. But i have never had a mouse problem with my trailer guess they don't like it.

I don't have any remedies. Just a few stories on this topic

I had a squirrel chew my boat cover and bring in Over 200 pine cones and put them in
the live wells( left them open to vent) and under the captain console. Man I was pissed.

Mice made a nest around my grand parents muffler on their motor home and it burnt down on the highway. So motor home guys don't just worry about the inside.

My brother started his quad and dog food was shooting out of the exhaust. Turns out the mice stored dog kibble in his exhaust. Was kind of funny.

pick up "Fresh Cab" at u.f.a. or peavey mart it will leave a scent of cedar chips any rodents will not go near your unit they dislike the smell . it lasts about 3 months so over the winter you might have to change it out but it works.
