i shortened up the length on the limiter strap on my 09 Summit,....By doing this i believe it says i'll have have more ski pressure and less weight transfer. Is that right?

I don't want so much weight transfer that the sled trenchs too deep..By doing that to the limiter strap will it help?

Curious also what are you guys setting the coupling block at?I know it is based on weight...Looking on a good starting point..Thanks

limiter up 1 fron stock, heavy springs in hear on stiff [i weigh 200 though] and yes it will trench less in deeper snow but will be heavy on skis with limiter sucked up. deep snow days suck it up regular days let it out. front shock on mid to soft. this is on a 11 also.

You weigh 170 but what do you weigh when fully geared up. Just my pack alone (snowpulse with all my gear) is close to 20lbs on a normal day. Add in few extra drink bottles for a long day, all your riding gear, bet you are over 200.

The stock springs on the Summits are too light. When riding with them in a high setting you are not changing the spring rate, just adding more preload making them stiffer.

Its better to have the heavier springs on a lighter pre-load as the spring rate is better.

I'm a light guy at 150lbs and I should be riding with the heavier springs. The plan is to get a new sled next year I and this sled goes to the girlfriend who is only 105lbs.

So that being said, mine are maxed. If I had the heavier springs they would be on likely 2 after riding sleds with the heavier springs thats where I figure they work for me.
