when did polaris start using their liberty engine
im thinking late 90's or so but not sure for sure

The 440 came out in 1997 as a special during mid season for the reacers. if you snow checked a 1997 XCR 440 you got a fuji. Not sure about the rest but I think 98ish for the rest
