king pin vs.ball hitch

i am in the market to buy a flat deck 5th wheel trailer but have been asked if i want a king pin or a ball hitch ( gooseneck) i don't know which way to go. whats your out look on this subject

Better weight capacity on (most) balls 30000#...also much better flexibility if travelling over any kind of rough terrain.

Downside, harder to hook up, but in my opinion worth it.

The newer 5ths are very nice, pivot on both axis, but not as much as a ball, and you can now get ones rated as high as 30k but much less common and more expensive.

I have run the B&W turnover hitch for many years in a number of trucks and a great option as you can have both and no rails in the bed.

I bought a truck with the B&W turnover in it. I cant speak for towing with it cause I never have, but you can also get the B&W companion 5er hitch that attaches to it so if you want to pull a 5er in the future you can, and still have 100% of your box available when you need it.
