I would love to take my Son for a trail ride this weekend. Wondering if it is legal (He is 10)? Sled is registered and insured to me...

Is there snow in Whitecourt? Or should I drive another 30 minutes to Fox Vegas?

Thanks for the replies!

Agreed X2....

Just changed a bunch of insurance stuff yesterday, and reconfirmed and have it in writing.

14 yrs of age, under the supervision of an adult over 18. On the machine, or near the machine...

Yea, dont get me wrong, I take my 10yr old out too, heck I was driving a pay loader and skid steer at 10. Just making sure you know the rules/regs. I never registered my sleds, but do now just so i dont get hassled in the hills...

I miss the good old days when common sense made sense...

There is only one way to learn and it's experience, I never let him out of sight, maybe I am a little over protective, but it works. I miss the good old days too.

Trail was groomed last week from the hwy 32 staging area to the Gundy cabin at Virginia Hills road (trail from Whitecourt to Fox Creek). Trail should be good and we cancelled our rally for this weekend because of safety issues with the river crossing and the fact that the trails don't have enough snow to hold together for over 1000 sleds.

Hey Ryeser, just stay away from alberta beach this week-end the cops will be all over the place, it is 14 because we got a warning last yr for our 12yr daughter and she has her own sled. It is snow mo days there so good luck and hope your son can run fast if they see you...LOL

He's a better rider than me, but as you know that isn't saying much, thanks for the advice!
