1999 2500 GMC 4x4 ext cab, full load, 454, with box removed and custom Alum deck installed, 1/4 tank of fuel (yes I should have filled it.....but I have about 100 pounds of stuff in my back seat lol.) this is not exact but a ball park!

truck weight in at 2655 KG
truck GVW is 3901 KG

so I can put in 1246 kg into my truck or 2741.2 pounds

I weight 195, kid weights 80 pounds, I have to weight the sleds but since I have a T-Apex I will call it like 700 pounds lol. and the kids is under 500 but will leave all the numbers high. 1475 pounds oh and some fuel and our gear! so way under 2000 pounds.

now I just have to put everything on the truck and weight the back axle to see what it weights. looks like I will be able to tow a double trailer also. just going with the numbers on my paper work just like I did with my last truck (the 1500 with a very high GVW) and had zero problems at check stops or with mechanical problems! I dont under stand when I hear of guys with one tons that just come under there numbers!

I should be able to have 2 T-Apex and two guys with all our gear and still have lots of room!

yes I think I started another thread that guys will just bitch about but Im just posting my numbers!

:smiliestirthepot::smiliestirthepot::smiliestirthepot:but thats a gasser 3/4 ton add another 1550 lbs for the diesel that is where they lose their weight. i checked this with the half ton sled deck issue. a halfer with tow package will actually haul/tow more than a 3/4 diesel. do the math guys i did.

My 3500 SRW was overloaded with a deck and no trailer. Gvw was only 10k, truck weight exactly that with just the deck 2 sleds and me, and nothing was full, no gear or extra people.

Your extra weight comes in with loosing the box, and a gas job.

I guess it paid off to buy the big block lol! gets better gas mileage than the 6L engine by the sounds of it also!

You'll love that 454, I miss mine! Way better torque curve than the 6.0, 6.0 drives like a 2stroke compared to a 454.

And ya, the gas 3/4 tons can haul more in the bed than a diesels of the same body. I "upgraded" from a 98 2500 454 to an '07 2500 Dmax and can haul less in the bed.
