Jettings Some Rev's!!! HELP PLEASE

Okay im use to this new crap and i got some buddies going to revy at christmas time and they want me to jet there revs for them, the one is a 05 600ho and the other one is a 09 500ss, can anyone help me on what size of jets to put in these sleds. Thanks Alot!

Go down 2 sizes from stock.

Just because they have DPM doesnt mean theyre jetted properly. On my Summit 700 I went down 4 sizes on the pto side and 5 on the mag before it ran well.

i ride sicamouse andf revy all the time and have never had to jet any of my stock sleds different from factory.

Maybe in your case, but they are jetted safe from the factory.

If the sleds run fine at the current elevation, they should run fine the way they are at high elevation.

To tell someone to jet 2 sizes via keyboard jockey is retarded.

What if his sled is on the edge already? Too many variables to make a comment like that. Bad advise IMO.

Are they summits or renegades? If they are flatlander sleds you will need to rejet, if they are hill sleds shouldn't need to. I'd talk to a dealer.

Your absolutely right.
550ssJW, Just pull the carbs, buy some leaner jets, go down 2 sizes and call 'er a day. Don't even bother with looking at your plugs, or wash, or what jet sizes are supposed to be stock . You don't need to know any technical mumbo jumbo like that.

Dude, I was being facetious. Your sled is equipped with DPM, right?

No these are not dpm technology, that came out in 05 on the 800 sled only and i believe possibly only a few, and they have never been in the 500ss sleds.

Well I would not take advise from anyone on here (especially LHF, he's blown up more motors than Ken Reich LOL). Talk to your dealer and find out the recommended jet sizes.

Dont call the dealer! They will tell you to run what Ski-Doo recommends and that is wrong. They are at least 2-5 sizes off.

The 05 MXZ 600HO didn't have DPM. I used to own one. I can't remeber what I ran for jets, but for some reason I think I ran 290's! don't quote me on that though... I got the jet chart from the dealer and went a little leaner. If you run a little leaner and it sounds to too crisp have them run half choke in the parking lot and up the trail untill you hear the sound of the engine change with altitude. Just my opinion...

Ya call LHF, he'll tell you what sizes are in your sled, and will sell you the proper jets to downsize...
