Well talked to lots of boys and girls who were up Renshaw on Friday and were back today, Had a blast, it even cleared up a bit in the afternoon, bring some beautiful Sunshine! Barring unforseen events the plan is to Groom Renshaw and Lucille this evening for Sunday morning! It is pretty warm which can make it tough for grooming but the plan is to make the trails as nice as possible for everyone! HAVE A GREAT DAY!

The avalanche at renshaw was at the saddle the entire ridge from one end to the other came down. There was another avalanche at Lucille, good work to the people that put there heads together and managed to dig out the sledder and rescue him, alive. We rode renshaw ourselves today, again another epic day. We turned off at 27, I was in front, dropped into the first meadow right off the access road. The snow was deeper than my handle bars as I was going in, I had to hit the gas, but too late. Got stuck good and that was going down the hill. When I finally got in there it was a good 5' deep untouched pow, went up to the creek realizing I may be the only one that can get in this far, Iikes! Thank goodness I was able to turn around and get out, drove around tracking it up a bit so the group could have some tracks to get around. Then just riding around for a bit, I just about hit a good sized tree, when the ski's hit the snow I got the poof of snow, could not see for 1 second, kept heavy on the throttle to realize I was heading right for a bunch of trees. As you see in the attached picture I got stuck:d. Well we decided to head to the cabin, and ride up from there, the powder was deep, get off your sled and It was waste deep. We played for quite then headed back to the cabin. I was almost out of fuel and I had my tank and two 2.5 Gal fuel cans. We headed back down. Tons of area left to hit. The snow needs to settle a bit, no one made it even to the area before the saddle or into blackwater.

Well it's about time the snow showed up... We had an excellent weekend, came off Lucille friday night in the dark, snowing like crazy. Saturday only seen 3 others all day, crazy deep. Probed several spots, on average was about 7' of snow total, dug a pit it showed about 1-2' of sugar at ground level and then the rest was the recent storm snow, we heard alot of whumps in the snowpack, avys are going to be big, down to the ground so be careful, we kept to the meadows and had a blast. Lotsa stucks ,looking forward to the next trip. Just a few pics

Second Day We hooked up with rknight111, quagmire, and BBtoys and tried breaking the trail into the blackwater some more but had no luck just too much snow. Went back to the cabin and had a blast, sun came out a little and turned out to be a EPIC day.
In the 4th pic ron decided it was his turn to get up close and personal with some trees, his sled is in there!!
