Looking to go pick up a 2010 M8 tomorrow, but want to make sure it's insured before I take it home. Does anyone know if someone under 18 can insure a sled under his/her own name? Parents are busy, and want it under my name anyways, so it'd be great if they didn't have to sign for Sh!t! Thanks.

Can't see why not.You can get your own car insurance so same diff.

That's what I am thinking. Basically, I want to pick the sled up tomorrow, and am doing it all without my parents, but I am definitely not taking home a $14 000 sled without insurance lol.

If you have car insurance in your own name then it is very cheap to add it to your policy. If you are insured under your parents policy then it would probably pay to have it added to that. FWIW JMHO.

For all who are wondering, I was able to get the insurance, even though my truck is registered through my parent's policy. My sled insurance is entirely seperate, and infact they didn't even ID me. Weird.
