This should be fun...

What would you change in this country, if you were given absolute power for one day? You would be allowed to change things you saw fit to better the country as a whole, what would you do?

Myself, I would go this way
-Eliminate jail time for victimless crimes (Drug possesion, prostitution and the like)
-Make prisons make money, if you're there, you're working for your food and bed
-I would address the refugee process and make it less appealing for ships like the sun sea to just show up with hundreds of people looking to move in
-Drug/Alcohol testing for all welfare recipients
-Lower booze taxes across the board, but BC especially, haha
-Legalise the herb. Keeping the police working on real crime
-Make theft less appealing. Not necessarily longer sentances, but harder ones, with lots of labour involved.
-Pedos/rapists that are 100% guilty (See; Bernardo) get put into a room with the victims families for 10 minutes. If they can walk out, they see a life of hard labour, if not, tough beans I guess.


Would make for a pretty long day I would imagine.

I would give everyone over the age of 60 in Canada ($1,000,000.) With three conditions:

1) They have to retire

2) The have to pay off their house

3) They have to buy a North American made car.

Number one opens up a chit can of new jobs. Fixes Unemployment. Number two gives the lending institutions back the cash they are whinning about not having so they can lend more. Number 3 fixes the auto industry issues and saves millions jobs. :d

Oh and put in a flat tax. Enough punishing people for making money in this country. If you put the money in the hands of the people, they will spend it. :d Economy fixed.

1) i would bring back capital punishment for petos/rapists/men that abuse their wifes an kids
2)Drop the taxes, mainly for rrsp's an other savings, we've already been taxed on it why should we be taxed again when we take it out and have to pay back the money that was essentially ours to begin with
3)Get rid of all the weights, video games, lounges, in jails, if you fawked up why should you have what we have..
4)as said already, if you want welfare, pee in a cup, allow for a background check to c why you arent working,

just a thought...an organization had done a census on homeless people and/or bums, an they found that they average about $350.- $400 a day, that is what some of us make and more than most.....

If I were King for a day I would help Joey with his move, LHF with his image, Ron with his decision regarding the Band, provide some of the guys with help for their houses, provide the farmers with help for the harvest, provide Many numbers with more numbers, and everybody with more work until Xmas so they could buy newer iron and spend more time sledding....just saying
