You let your sister work on your sled????? lol :)

Years back my sister thought she would help fix the crooked antenia on my 1958 Oldsmobile. (grandpa had installed it crooked when the car was his). but instead of using tools and doing it right, she grabbed close to the base and bent it, which caused it to snap. I could have killed her.

You sure it's the throttle cable and not the speedometer cable you're talking about? The speedometer cable is the only one to go down by the clutch.

Run it from the guage pac down, following the wiring harness all the way down where it is tied at the bellpan and then it should run on the inside top of the bellypan back to under the seconday clutch to the fitting on the end of the drive axle on the LH side. There should be retainers along the top of the pan to hold it in place so it doesn't get near the clutches. Where it follows the wiring harness on the underside of the hood make sure it is tie wrapped to the harness good but allow enough slack to open and close the hood properly. Hope that helps!
