Like the title says, how's everyone liking there 900 ranger? Any issues or improvements that work on them? I had a ranger 500 mid size for 2 summers and loved it just wanted a bit more power. I was thinking about the ranger 800 mid size but I wish that it didn't have the struts up front! And think the the extra room of the full size would be better.

loving it. great riding, quiet ride, no sitting in the mud slop all day, lots of power, can spin tires all day if you want, no fear of not making it through(even with 26 inch tire)

best money i ever spent bar none. smiles from ear to ear. i would buy another one in a heart beat so far.

That's what I wanted to here lol! My brother and dad both got 800 they are a nice machine but they got a few things I don't like. The motor sits under the seat and the seat gets so hot it hurts your azz when sitting in the center, the 900 motor is under thebox so I don't think that will be a problem. And I think the front diff is stronger on the 900. The 900 has a lot nicer fit and finish to. So I think the extra money is worth it for the 900.

It is not the fastest SxS out there, fast enough for me. Only time i don 't have enough top end is on the gravel road, still no bother cause you can't see for the dust anyway. I feel it is one of the best mud machines out there. Haven't seen anyone go farther yet, and a few haven't gone as far. The ranger rides smooth, is very quiet, nice machine

A friend of mine, on his 800 Ranger used 3 of the 1.5" ABS black piping ends, had the plug in screw ends, mounted under the seat facing the front of the cab he would screw the plugs off and the heat would dissipate. when he went for a ride, seemed to work good for him, nicely done i might add. and in winter time it would bring heat into the cab.

How about maintance cost? Does it cost a lot for regular maintance? Lots of different fluids needed like on the atvs?

that won't work on the new 900 ranger, but on the 800 was an added bonus

not really a factor as far as i'm concerned glen, won't be different than any other manufacturer. front diff fluid, rear diff tranny fluid, motor oil n filter.

the motor oil change will be the highest cost, you can use any other high quality engine oil you like. front diff fluid is not bad, u don't use alot think there is enough for 2 fluid changes. rear end fluid isn't that bad either, and easy enough to be able to change on a regular basis as they ride in a mud n dust bath all day. never hurts to change fluids on a short schedule basis, or depending on your riding conditions, so far i'm thinking every other month or so. depends on amount driven.
