it will spit it back out the nipple won't it?

Nope. One way valve.

Usually either pressures up, or starts coming out the axle joints.

Easy thing to do. I do it every couple rides when the sled is clean.

is it bad if it starts coming out the axel? and when the pressure builds it should be harder to push the handle right?

it wont come back out the nipple if it dose the nipple is bad and needs changing same if the greese wont go in. and most gresse guns you wont feel the pressure. just watch and you will see it come out some where. just whipe off the greese that comes out no worries.

You will see grease come out of whichever joint your greasing. Typically 3 to five pumps of the gun get plenty of grease in there! Especially if your maintaining on a regular basis. Be carefull with ball joint and such with rubber caps or enclosures. You don't want to pop that cap!

More often than not, if you can't see the grease coming out of the joint your greasing, you will be able to hear it....a slight popping sound

i put the grease gun onto the nipple and started pumping the gun. the first stroke as i pumped the gun the leaver got harder to pump. so i tried to take the tip of the gun off the nipple and it will not come off... any thoughts of how to get it off????

My minds wandering here but I'll try...Put something between the bottom of the block (end of grease tube) and the seat of the nipple. Flat screw driver or a small open end wrench works well for a pry bar.

try and rotate the nipple around the zerk while giving it a solid pull. should just pop off, some times it takes a little more effort than you might think.

you have to unscrew the end of the grease hose off the hose. usually you will know when there is enough grease when you here a sorta pop noise. It doesn't always happen though.
