honda rancher wont start

my friend has a 2006 honda rancher it was out side all winter. I thoughyt the battery was dead but it wasnt so i tryed to jump it and it will just crank but wont start any ideas that problem could be???????????????

Check for spark? If no, double check the kill switch, and ignition switch. If yes, check fuel supply. Could be carb issue.

Also make sure the fuel petcock is open, sometimes people close them for storeage.

Its usually fuel and spark related, more so fuel related.
Pop off the fuel line and see if fuel flows through the petcock, it maybe clogged with sediment.
There should be a drain screw on the carb to drain the float bowl, see what color comes out, if its greenish then you need a carb cleaning.
Alittle shot of quick start in the intake will tell you if you have spark.
