I have a 2008 honda TRX420FE8, that will not shift out of neutral. Flashing code on the display, has the N INDICATOR flashing three long flashes followed by two short, any ideas?? Have looked at the connections and applied dielectric grease, but no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

With two codes coming up I would be concerned that the problem is in the ECU or wiring harness. Be careful that you don't start throwing parts at the problem as electrical parts are not returnable. I suggest you find another 420 that you can try swapping out ECMs before you buy any parts. The Honda service manual has very good troubleshooting procedures; see if your Honda dealer will give you a photo copy of that section (it's quite long) or order a service manual before you buy parts, or pay the dealer to troubleshoot it for you.

If it is not the ECM or wiring harness start with the angle sensor. The angle sensor is located on the front of the engine and is weak link in the electric shift system. I would start there and see if the second code goes away.
