Homemade Clamps?

Just getting in sledding and after using a pile of ratchet straps to hold the sled down, what is the best way to strap it down?

Has anyone ever made homemade clamps similar to "superclamp"?

Of course...before Superclamps were invented though...they are hands down the best way. Ratchet straps over the track for the rear if on a deck. Some say 4 points so 2 straps on the back, but I have been stopped with one and not hassled. I always have extra straps so not a big deal.
