HELP Garmon Rhino 530 HCx

So we bought two Garmon Rhino 530 HCx and have tried learning them via the book that comes with them...as well I bought the BC-AB Backroad GPS maps....it came with Map Source.

So far I'm not having any luck ....Need some help/education....

I could do better with my old trusty compass and a topo map....

Anyone in Edmonton, Sherwood Park area that could give a lesson or two...

Will buy beer or dinner or???

Having trouble with the maps and tracks....everything else was easy....

I have the 530 HCx as well, what kind of problems are you having with the tracking?

have you tried youtube, there are some really good tutorials on there from garmin

My troubles start with a lack of time and patience……

I don’t seem to be able to access the new maps on the Garmin or Map Source.

I’ve unlocked the software but just cant seem to access it…


I am fairly computer literate but find the software is not that intuitive. the manual useless. It might make more sense once I get some of the basic navigation working.

I have other Garmin devices an older e-tec and a Nuvi 760 that I’ve not had issues with…..
