HEY JUST WANT TO START OFF BY SAYING AWSOME SITE. IM FROM DRAYTON VALLEY , ITS ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF SOUTH WEST OF EDMONTON. ILL RIDE ANYTHING WITH AN ENGINE AND WHEN IM NOT DOING THAT YA MIGHT AS WELL BE B.S.ING ABOUT IT RIGHT. THE PIC IS FROM AN OLD PLANE CRASH AT CROWS NEST PASS LAST SUMMER ,GREAT RIDE.

Welcome, awesome pic. I have yet to get to the plane crash site. Attempted last year but was to late in the year and ran into snow.

THAT PIC WAS TAKEN IN AUGUST AND THERE WAS STILL SNOW COVERING SOME OF THE CRASH.

Yea, we tried to go up after the first snow fall last year. I think it was in October if I recall.

Cool. We are going to head back up there this summer. A few of us just joined the club up there sinces it is only an hour or so from our place.

The plane crash was quite a while ago (20-30+ years). You can't get to it except by quad or sled. It is suppose to be a nice ride up to it. I have only been about half way to it. If you are interested in heading to it let me know. I will grab my cousin or dad. They have been there several times and know the trail pretty good, I just haven't had a chance to get up there yet, but this year I will. .... :beerchugs:

THE CRASH WAS LATE FORTYS IF I REMEMBER RIGHT. IT WAS A MILITARY PLANE TRAVELLING FROM BC TO SOMEWHERE OUT EAST THERE WERE NO SURRVIVORS ,I THINK 6 GUYS DIED. THERES A BIG SIGN / MEMORIAL FOR THE VICTIMS. I THINK THATS WHY THEY LEFT THE RECKAGE, AND ALSO IN THE LATE FOURTIES THEY HAD TO SNOW SHOE IN ABOUT 60KM JUST TO BRING THE VICTIMS OUT. AFTER DOING THAT I DOUBTTHEY WANTED TO GO BACK TO HAUL OUT A BUNCH OF ALUMINUM.

THE MID KOOTENEY PASS WAS PRETTY COOL TO ITS JUST SOUTH OF THE PLANE CRASH ABOUT 30 KM. I GOT PICS OF THE BORDER POST ILL POST THEM IN MY MEMBER GALLERY TONIGHT.
