It's really easy, just don't celebrate it. I've never really bothered with it, you shouldn't need a particular day to show someone you care about them.

I know it's a bit sappy, but I met my bride on this day, and proposed a few years later on this day.....So we celebrate the day....

Forgot to mention, been together for 8 years and finally got married last Dec 15th.......

Getting away from the humor and the commercialization (well sort of).........and back on topic, every year and for 42 years and counting, I tell my Valentine I love her with a bouquet of flowers.

Today it was a dozen long stem roses from Costco. $18.00
The smile on her face and the love in her eyes...........priceless!
