If you have an air compressor with a blowgun you can remove the gribs by having someone cover the hole in the end of one grip, while you blow air into the hole at the end of the other grip, This will allow the grip to slide off effortlessly! then repeat on the other side. As far as the wiring goes, if you bought the factory polaris hand warmers there is a matching connector inside the headlight shroud or onder the front fender!

I found the easiest way to get my grips off was a utility knife, split them and peel off! If you are running aftermarket that you can't hook up to the polaris plug, just splice your wires to your accessory plug wires. That way when you turn off the machine your warmers go off and don't drain the battery.

If you don't want to destroy your old grips, the easiest way to remove them is take out the bolt at the end, poke a screwdriver in the end and pry the rubber up, then spray WD-40 with the extention tube in as far as you can. Then grab the grip and give it a good twist back and forth and it should come right off. When installing new grip just spray handle bar and slide on before it gets tacky. When WD-40 dries it will bond the grip to the bar. As far as wiring just follow the instructions they come with. Just make sure you use a ignition wire that is only live when the bike is running, or you will forget to turn them off and run your battery down. I hope this helps.

your factory grips are probably glued on so if you want to save them take the bolt out od the end and use a screwdriver or someting to pry the inside of the grip away from the bar. one you work your way all the way around, used compressed air, water or wd 40 as a lubricant. honestly are you ever going to use your stock grips again? there only like 20 bucks for new ones... lol

As mentioned previously use a compressor and a blowgun to remove grips..... they slide right off.
Factory stock grips are not glued on.
Polaris warmers work very well and the switches match other factory switches on your dash pod.

Air compressor works the best put the tip of the blow gun under the grip and blow . Do the same thing to put it back on .

I ahve to admit i used the polaris kits on my rides. I like the fact u can install the element and then choose your own grip, as the all in ones don't have nice grips imo. But after 3 years they arent working properly, I believe its a switch problem as they will work on high or the grips work but thumb doesn't. Get good waterproof switches.
