GasCan, so you pull this trailer with and extension bar on your truck? how long is the extension? how heavy is the trailer and what is the tongue weight?

Curb weight of the MC142-7SE is 2330 lbs with a tounge weight of 10-15%. I figure there's usually between 300-400 lbs on the pin when loaded up. Mac payload in the trailer is 4600lbs. The draw bar is 30" I think (can't recall) and it tows really well.

Have a safe long weekend folks. :)

Does anyone have any numbers on tongue weight restriction with one of those drawbar extensions on there? I thought I saw once that every 6" past the factory location and your capacity goes down 20%. so with an 18" bar you should just about leave it at home.

For some reason I though it was every 12" extension drops your hitch capacity to half. So like 24" you'd have only 2500lbs on a 10,000lb hitch. Definatly kills your pulling no matter what, just look at them there is a mile of leverage on the hitch.
