HELP HELP HELP,new coil,new plug, plenty spark, full carb rebuild, it seems theres no petrol getting to the spark plug,still no start,what should the float height be & how do measure it???? its a 1998 grizzly 600:confused::confused::mad: cheers in advance guys.

When the needle is just touching the seat the float should be parallel to the float bowl mating surface.

Check valve lash.

Is the vent on the fuel cap plugged? Take the fuel cap off and try ,,will it start at all?

1) with the fuel shut-off valve turned off, pull the fuel line off the gas shut-off valve and see if any fuel come out the valve when turned to "on" position....if nothing, then you have a valve, or fuel valve inlet problem, or gas cap vent problem... Try it again with the gas cap off.....if its all okay proceed to step 2....

2) does the carb have fuel in the float bowl.... There is a small bolt you can undo on the bottom of the carb float bowl, to see if any fuel is inside the carb.... If not, then you have a "needle & seat" problem....
