greasing crank bearings

on a doo 800ho that has seal cover on clutch side, can this cover be removed and seal then can you grease bearing. and how do you grease other side. or do you have to split crank to get to bearings thanks for help

yes that seal pops out on the clutch side and can regrease the bearing with a syringe. pop a new seal back in. use the plate to press the new seal in with the 4 screws. same process for the other side exceptp the stator needs to be removed. almost easier to take the motor out and just give it a good look.

Usually just the pto(clutch) side ever needs greased/serviced, as that is the side with all the heat, caused by the primary clutch, causing the grease to break down and dissipate/dematerialize............
