I love the Spokane area, very beautiful. We are headed there this long weekend and want to pass on a tip.
The Davenport Hotel is one of the nicest hotels in Western Canada / USA. It is close to 100 years old and underwent a full restoration 10 years ago. They have a deal called the Romance Package. $396 for two nights total and that includes $150 in vouchers for their restaurants (which are very good)
Works out to $125 a night. The staff is the nicest I have ever seen and I travel for business. They are also very sled friendly as I had 2 on my truck deck and they parked it safely in the valet section. It was too tall for their regular parkade.
You can hobknob with the muckeymucks without spending a fortune. Great way to make up to the sweetie for all the sled trips to revy in the winter.
