don't buy a 1000 or 1500 they do not run toasters or coffee makers without running wide open to noisy all a 1000 is good for is running the lights and tv had one for 4 years gave it to the soninlaw to run there furnace in there tent trailer up graded to a 2000 with remote start don't have to go out to start it and it goes up a little when you use the toaster

I bought a Champion genny from Costco a bunch of years ago, it's a 2800W running/4000W peak. It cost me $500 then, almost as quiet as a Honda (but not a Honda) I can run 2 full size trailers off of it and never have had any issue's with it.
Just another option for you to think about, it's sometimes better to have too much, than wishing you had a little more. jmo

There is only a 300 dollar difference between the EU1000 and the EU2000. Many people just go for the 2000 because it's a Honda and you'll have it for a Very long time. Your needs may change so it's nice to have enough oomph to satisfy all of them. They are both about the same physical size. You'll find with the Honda Inverter series, They run quiet, are compact and can safely power electronics.
$999 for the 1000
$1299 for the 200
Sale prices right now.

I have a wat chart someplace.. I'll see if I can scan it and post it up

Get the Honda 2000, then if you need to upgrade. u can buy the jumper cable and another 2000 and have 4000 so you can run a air conditioner if you want. I kind of wish I had done that instead of my Honda 3000, its great but heavy!

ya the 3000 is a two person unit, heavy and awkward when moving it alone, 2 2000 side by side are roughly the same size too

Had a Yamaha 3000 with the boost option. Heavy for one person but never a issue. Worked great

the electric start feature is nice to save you from crawling out of a toasty bed to go start it in the dark if your batteries run dry and your furnace wont kick it. geez how lazy as we getting

You can get a remote start for most Honda Genny's, if you are really that lazy???

Or with another 25' of cable, you'll never hear it run ALL night!!!!
