but seriously, with all the devastations worldwide, reducing the amount of people driving, shouldnt that make gas more abundant, therefore increasing supply therefore lowering prices WTF supply/demand doesnt really work anymore

Well, with the unrest in Libya, the oil companies are raising the price because they are afraid of a shortage...I didn't realize all these pipelines that we haul equipment to were coming from Libya....damn no wonder gas is so expensive! :rolling:

Ok im in grade 10, havent gotten a degree in business & economics. But the way I see it... They are fast tracking to open a new pipeline thats 2 godd*** feet wide to send oil to the u.s. (The mid east to be precise) and there set to double the oil sands production in the next 10 years.. Tell me how in the hell can you sustain that kind of demand. You need double the amount of natural gas as the oil your producing just to refine it. And sooner or later it will run out. maybe not some of your lifetimes but in mine forsure. I personally think that this whole system is bull$#!t, alberta is producing the oil, and that pipeline were sending them is being payed for partly by tax dollars, of CANADIANS, NOT AMERICANS. Common sense would dictate,(I know that is a thing that is often not heard of in these days) that since our province is producing it we should have a flat set rate at 25-50% of the price that were paying at the pumps now. And rather than shipping it off to the U.S, develop refineries in canada to up our own production. There is no reason that we should be exporting more oil then we use ourselves. That damn trudo should have never allowed foreign development of the oildands, that S.O.B created the beginning of the end. There is no fawking reason for all these foreign companies to come in, profit billions and billions of dollars, and take out all canadian involvment in our oilsands. I can garuntee that less than 10% of our oilsands are being developed and owned by a real canadian company. there are the last time i heard something like 20,000 foreign temp workers in the oilpatch and trades. Thats less than what alberta get for permanent immigrants every year. There is no Fawking reason that are unemployment rate should be over 4%. Canada is the only country in the world that makes special accomidations for natives, now dont get me wrong I respect that and natives, but you see all those gangs and poor living conditions on reserves, kick all those -------(Bad racial slur terms)------- temp workers out and send anybody who can work to work in the oilpatch. Forgive me for me being "inconsiderate" but its getting to the point that the only way people fawking listen is to be drastic and its really starting to pi$$ me off. Libya only amounts to 2% of the oil production of the world. So how in a just world can that 2% = a 30cent hike. Dont get me started on those fricken politicians because every single one of those C.S'ers could eat a nail and crap out a cork screw.

Forgive me for my "inappropriate" rant but stupidity has to be met with a fair and rational solution.:eek::rant::realmad:
