I am sure this is a dumb question but i am going to replace the fuel filter in my 2013 summit x. i was wondering if instead of replacing the oetiker clamps, could i just use normal hose clamps?

You can get the proper fuel injection hose clamps at crappy tire. $10 i think for a pack of 8 or something like that. They are smooth so no risk of the clamp cutting into the hose, unlike a normal hose clamp.
Not sure about the sock in the tank. Regular fuel filter above the oil tank can be replaced pretty easily. Its a WIX inline filter that can be bought at Napa for like $12. Can't remember part # off top of my head but its on here or dootalk somewhere.

Noramal hose clamps are just fine, check them after a few rides to make sure there are still tight.

The filter bag in the tank is the only one you would need to replace. You could change the other one if you want to go a little further while you are doing the fuel line maintenance.

Couple zip ties also work fine as clamps. 2 per each end..
