Poor timing for an announcement like that. Not a good way to gain any sympathy from the people of Canada. And....BRP is not affiliated. They sponsor Nascar on there own dime not the tax payers.

I just started shopping for new quad and well was leaning towards the 1000 XMR Renegade... our stupid Liberal Government just bailed out the worst managed company in CDN History and now they going to Sponsor... ya I know many die hards will say "oh brp recreational has nothing to do with Bombardier" bullsh!t I say....it's all affiliated.

It's important to remember that the Bombardier that the feds continually bail out is a completely seperate entity than BRP. They split many years ago

Well, I get it, a company still has to advertise, and when you sell business jets to wealthy pompous pricks, what better venue than F1?

At least they are supporting a canadian and not some greasy foreigner.

Your crying over a formula 1 sponsership? Really? U must have a hard time dealing with the most simple problems in life. BTW look up the TSX for BRP and Bombardier stocks you'll find there two different companies.

The U.S goverment pours billions into their aerospace industries on PR and money loosing projects to advance their tech that moves us all forward. As Canadians we should be proud at what we have achieved in Aerospace against companies like Boeing and Airbus. I only wish we had similar industries in Alberta.

What he is saying and I agree is it is my money and all of our taxpayers cash that is continually going into the pockets of the rich. We pay more, they get richer. It sucks. I wouldn't care as much if we weren't hurting as much as we are. It will get worse.

The Canadian Government and Bombardier could do themselves a big service if they would show documentation of these interest/interest free loans they have given this company over the years being serviced and paid off. I think this would relieve some of the anxiety from Canadian taxpayers on what exactly is going on with this company. I understand why they do it. The aero space industry is heavily subsidized in other parts of the world so we follow suit to stay competitive and stay in business. Its done to keep 3000 highly skilled tech jobs in Canada. Right now the Brazilian government is lodging a complaint against Bombardier for unfair business practices in regards to this latest loan. Can't see this going away anytime soon but it sure would be nice to know if this company is in fact paying back monies from all these government loans over the years?

I hear what your saying. I too have opinions on how my tax dollars are being spent. I'm not that concerned about companies like Bombardier. My current problem is how many millions of tax dollars we spend on refugees as oppossed to attracting skilled workers and professionals to our country. Given the choice, I know what I would pick. I want our country to be at the top of the pile. Not supporting the bottom of the human gene pool.

Call it what you want... BTW YOU need to research a little deeper .. someone has already touched on it. What you find may be interesting. Everyone has their opinion and that's great....

Not surprising. By association i'm sure. A person can be on muliple boards. I'm sure he might have been a bit pissy to see BRP break away in 2003.
Laurent Beaudoin is on the board of directors for both companies, makes me wonder how much crossover there really is

Come on guys you're being so hard on poor bombardier, they only recieved 350 million this time and tally is 3.2 billion in tax payer money over the years that's chump change for Trudeau, he gave away 650 million last week alone to foreign countries for birth control / women's rights blah blah.

It also makes sense from a business standpoint to have someone familiar with the industry as Chairman. I just went on Wikipedia for BRP and Bain Capital. I cannot see anything showing that Bain has sold off any of there 50% share in BRP. That would still make them the ones with controlling interest in the company. The Beaudoin family still sits at 35%.

Screw the the Brazilians. Embraer is sad because they lossed out on their bid against Bombardier. Had they got the contract no complaint would have been issued. Embraer would love to have the same support that other companies have. They would like nothing more then to see Bombardier go under. Companies like Bombarier and Embraer are the under dogs on the world stage. Makes me want to fight for our own even more.

Exactly. Chump change....women's rights in third would countries. I'm sure that's money well spent. I was in Islamabad for work when they burnt alive three women with gasoline in the streets during a pro women's rally.

Who cares, the libtards want to shut down the oil sands, but on the other hand bail out a company that relies on Oil and gas to exist.
I fly to work up north in a bombardier product twice a month, how Ironic.
